Freelance Client Websites

Alongside full-time roles I take on freelance work for client businesses. For most of these, my go-to is reusable PHP components rather than a JavaScript framework — and that's a deliberate choice, not a limitation.

A PHP component site needs no Node server, deploys straight to the cPanel shared hosting most small businesses already pay for, and loads fast because there's no build step or client-side hydration — the server just returns ready HTML. For a marketing site or brochure site, that means lower cost, simpler hosting, and a page that's quick on any connection. I build a small library of reusable partials (header, nav, cards, footer, forms) so each new client site is assembled from proven pieces rather than written from scratch.

When a project genuinely needs more — authentication, dashboards, real-time data, or complex interactivity — I build a custom web app in React or Next.js with a proper API behind it. The point is to match the tool to the job: a fast static PHP site where that's all it needs, a full application where it doesn't. Specific client work is shared privately on request.
